Best walleye sandwich I have ever had.. guy at counter sugged it. Said it was a good day for walleye.. he was correct. I will stop here every time I am in the area. Atmosphere was fun and inviting. Food was great as well was the service. Great job Scalawag employees..

We always have to eat here anytime we come to Mackinac City!! We always get the White Fish 3 piece with fries a hush puppies. It also comes with coleslaw and delicious tartar sauce!! I love that they have a patio eating area so you can enjoy the fresh air outside. Definitely will always be our go to for many years to come!! With full bellies and happy hearts! If you haven’t tried this place, you should!! By the way, we got to meet the owner! He’s a very friendly person and we felt very welcomed!!

We order the whitefish basket and was Delicious. And they are pet friendly! You can take a place outside and enjoy the food with your furry friends

The food is spectacular! I'm not a fan of fish, or any seafood at all, but the whitefish here was irresistible. Service was incredible as always, and we loved it. Made an amazing impression on my date, and we'll definitely come back another time, she adored it!

Nice restaurant; I did not have to wait long for my meal and it was served hot and fresh. I ordered the perch basket, which was pretty tasty. I will definitely stop here again when I return to Mackinaw.

So me and my husband decided not to waste out money at the hook and came to Scalawags white fish and chips and the owner Tyler was amazing kind and super friendly. The atmosphere was great we’ll definitely be back and stop here if you want great fish amazing hush puppies .. thanks again for the great service and kindness

I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and flavor of the fish! A little bit of lemon and some tartar sauce and wow it was truly some of the best fish I’ve had!! Staff was friendly and there is outdoor seating available to enjoy the weather. It’s located a few steps behind the stores facing the main street of the shopping area, but it is definitely worth the visit if you’re craving a solid basket of fish and chips!!
